I’m really focused on improving my handlettering lately and have decided to participate in one of the many challenges out there- I landed on this one here from an amazing artist.

I am always amazed at how much improvement I see after just a few minutes of practice. I’ve been doing calligraphy since middle school, but gravitate towards the looser, more modern styles, which requires me to take a less rigid approach- difficult when you spend years trying to perfect every stroke and movement!

Here’s day 1 challenge attempt at lettering the phrase “peace on earth.” In the end, I liked the version that brought in the metallic gold ink- no surpise there 🙂
