Card for Papa

Growing up calling my dad “Papa” made every birthday, Father’s Day, and other occasion difficult to find a card that addressed him properly. Nowadays, I just make him a custom one! This one has a stenciled background, wooden tape accent and a few cute (but not too cute!) embellishments.

I’m clearly on a roll with the watercolor- I love this pink and peach palette. Also loved the wreath diecut in varying paper types, stitched on with a messy zig-zag line.

My weakness is definitely making cards for men. It’s so easy to make a pretty, delicate, floral themed card that a woman will enjoy and appreciate. Men on the other hand require a lot more thought for me. I was happy with the way this turned out- using a book page background, bold black letters…

“Can’t Espresso” Card

I am in love with this card! I bought this pun-ny stamp set to make cards for my best friend- she’s not only my go-to coffee mate but also loves a great play on words. I think it came together well with stamping and the embossed message on a black strip.

Welcome Baby Gator

When a fellow Gator has a new baby, nothing but a gator-themed card will do! Tried to keep it soft with the most background and thread behind the wood veneer gator.
